Dr. Nirmal Madhavan, a seasoned international research scientist and passionate mentor, has guided over 1,000 students toward making the right choices in education and career globally. Through his initiative on nutruting Indian International Researchers via the PhD PDF Scholarship and podcast sessions (https://www.youtube.com/@phd_pdfscholarship) , he offers counseling and provides opportunities for students to connect with industry experts, professors, and scientific communities worldwide.
With a strong academic foundation, including a Ph.D. from Australia in collaboration with Tata Steel Netherlands and a masters degree from IIT, Dr. Madhavan brings unparalleled expertise and insight to career counseling. He has worked on prestigious projects with organizations such as Tata Steel Netherlands, the Indian Navy - Scorpene Class Submarine (Ministry of Defense), AirBus Aerospace- France and is currently a leading scientist in a European green research organization.

I came to know about CARISTRRA in the begining of 2025, when I was searching for abroad Postdoc after my PhD. I was clueless about the process and then I had a session with Nirmal, founder of CARISTRRA. He was very helpful, answered about all my questions patiently and guided me in the right direction. Before CARISTRRA, I have no idea about how a standard cover letter should look and things. The one service, I particularly liked the most is the interview preparation for Postdoc, that made me to prepare well and crack it. The CARISTRRA session helped me understand the zone of my strengths, and I realized that the stream I had chosen in Class 11 was not in line with them. This mismatch had been causing me tremendous difficulty. Through the session, I gained a clear understanding of my strengths, personality, motivation, and how to align them with a suitable career. It has truly been an empowering experience for me. I am always grateful to CARISTRRA for making both me and my parents understand my skills, strengths, and how to pursue them effectively.
